Removing and installing/replacing left or right hot film air mass meter (S55 engine)

Attention! 

Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Switch off ignition.

Removal:

Unlock connector (2) and remove.

Release screws (1).

Pull hot film air mass meter on left out of upper section of intake silencer housing (3) and remove.

Unlock connector (1) and pull off.

Unfasten screws (2).

Pull hot film air mass meter on right out of upper section of intake silencer housing (3) and remove.

Installation:

Install left hot film air mass meter in intake silencer housing (3).

Hand-tighten screws (1).

Tightening torque 13 71 4AZ .

Attach connector (1).

Connector (1) must engage audibly.

Install right hot film air mass meter in intake silencer housing (3).

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque 13 71 4AZ .

Attach connector (1).

Connector (1) must engage audibly.
