Removing and installing/replacing tailgate lock (M4 Convertible)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

• Remove TRIM FOR REAR LID .

Left side: 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release plug connection (2) on tailgate lock (4).

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ .

Right side: 

Release plug connection (1) on tailgate lock (3).

Disconnect plug connections (2).

Release screws (4) and slightly fold down tailgate lock (3).

Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ .

Unclip holder (1) with screwdriver (2).

Detach Bowden cable (4) from lever (3).

Remove tailgate lock (5).
