Removing and installing/replacing the pull cable for the front engine compartment lock (M4 Coupe, M4 Convertible)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove left/right engine compartment lock. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT ENGINE COMPARTMENT LID LOCK. (M4 COUPE, M4 CONVERTIBLE)  and REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE COMPARTMENT LID LOCK. (M4 COUPE, M4 CONVERTIBLE) .

Unclip the clutch housing Bowden cable from the body (1) at the marked points.

Open the cover (1) from the Bowden cable clutch housing (2) forwards.

Detach the Bowden cable (3).

Release the Bowden cable (1) at the holders.

Feed out the Bowden cable (1) to the left.

Installation: 

Feed in the Bowden cable (1) to the right.

Clip the Bowden cable (1) into the holder.

Clip in the clutch housing Bowden cable into the body (1) at the marked points.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install left/right engine compartment lock. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT ENGINE COMPARTMENT LID LOCK. (M4 COUPE, M4 CONVERTIBLE)  and REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE COMPARTMENT LID LOCK. (M4 COUPE, M4 CONVERTIBLE) .
