Replace rear module hall effect sensor on left partition wall (M4 Convertible)
Installation note:
- Microencapsulated screws (Loctite) must be replaced and may not be reused
- Screw connection must be completed within 20 minutes (start of curing)
- Microencapsulated screws must not be retightened
- Clean thread of nut beforehand in event of repeated use
Open soft top compartment cover.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release screw (2).
Carefully guide out the hall effect sensors to remove.
If no signal is being received from the hall-effect sensor observe the following adjusting procedure:
Tighten the screws (1) for the holder, allowing them to remain slightly loose.
It should just be barely possible to slide the holder, as it must still move enough to center itself.
Stow roof module.
The optimum position of the holder is determined by retracting the centering pins into the lock.
Tighten down screws (1).
