Gauge console for rear module (M4 Convertible)

Special tools required: 

• 2 360 048
• 54 0 180
• 00 9 450

The consoles are to be gauged only after body repair.

In the warranty period the country-specific Hotline must be consulted before opening the sealing of the screw connection.

Always install and remove the rear module gauge with 2 helpers.

To prevent damage to the rear module gauge, set the rear module gauge only in the transportation crate or on consoles.

The rear module gauge is a highly sensitive measuring instrument, which reacts with distortion even to light impacts.

The rear module gauge must  be checked for dimensional accuracy on a master gauge after being subjected to impact or camber.

Turn back all barrel screws (1) of rear module (2) consoles and check for ease of movement at the same time.

Screw rear module consoles (2) on left/right with screws (3) to special tool 2 360 048 C.

Tightening torque: 2 Nm.

Position special tool 2 360 048 C on side member in the luggage compartment.

Place special tool 2 360 048 A over centering pin on roof module (1) and special tool 2 360 048 C; tighten screws (2) lightly only.

Attach special tool 2 360 048 B to the right side in the same way.

Tighten screws (2) uniformly.

Turn barrel screws (1) with special tool 54 0 180 in conjunction with 00 9 450 on the system body.

Tightening torque: 0.02 Nm (=2 cNm)

Insert and tighten screws (1) with washers.

Tightening torque 54 37 02AZ .

Remove gauge console of rear module

Release screws (1).

Remove special tool 2 360 048 A.

Remove special tool 2 360 048 B at the right side in the same way.

Release left and right screws (2).

Remove special tool 2 360 048 C.
