Replacing upholstery for front passenger seat (sport) (Convertible)
The operation for removing the upholstery is described in:

WARNING:
The SBR floor mat is bonded to the entire surface of the upholstery and can only be separated in conjunction with the facing from the seat cover.
If SBR floor mat or upholstery is faulty, both parts may only be replaced together.
Full functional capability can only be guaranteed with original BMW spare parts.
WARNING:
Only US and Canadian version of front passenger seat (with CIS mat):
The CIS mat is bonded to the entire surface of the facing and can only be removed in conjunction with the padding from the seat cover.
If CIS mat or padding is defective, both parts may only be replaced together.
Full functional capability can only be guaranteed with original BMW spare parts.
After installation, the CIS mat must be enabled with the BMW PROGRAMMING SYSTEM .
The CIS mat is bonded to the entire surface of the facing and can only be removed in conjunction with the padding from the seat cover.
If CIS mat or padding is defective, both parts may only be replaced together.
Full functional capability can only be guaranteed with original BMW spare parts.
After installation, the CIS mat must be enabled with the BMW PROGRAMMING SYSTEM .
NOTE:
The following operations only apply to optional seat ventilation equipment:
Unfasten plug connection.
Installation note:
Make sure fans have correct cable routing (1).
Remove dividing net (1).
Remove fans (2) from upholstery.
