Removing and installing the driver's or front passenger's seat (CFRP bucket seat) (GTS only)
Necessary preliminary work:
- Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE .
Improper handling may trigger the side airbag and as a result cause injuries.
Observe safety information on HANDLING AIRBAG MODULES AND PYROTECHNICAL SEAT BELT TENSIONERS .
Unclip cover (1).
Installation note:
Replace cover (1) after each disassembly.
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 72 11 2AZ .
Feed out seat belt from front seat.
Installation note:
End fitting is coded against incorrect assembly.
Installation note:
Feed seat belt (1) in the marked area as shown through the front seat.
Equipment specification with six point seat belt:
Remove seat cushion (1).
Feed out seat belt (2) from the front seat.
Adjust front seat fully backwards and down.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 52 10 1AZ .
Adjust front seat fully forwards and up.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 52 10 1AZ .
Unlock and disconnect connector (1).
Carefully lift out front seat with the assistance of a second person.
Installation note:
Make sure the limit positions of the forward/back adjustment (1) are installed correctly.
The limit position of the forward/back adjustment (1) must be installed on both of the rails as shown, install after if applicable.
Tightening torque 52 10 4AZ .
Improper handling can lead to triggering of the pyrotechnical seat belt tensioner or side airbag, resulting in injuries.
Installation note:
- Carpet must not get between seat rails and floor panel in area of attachment points (groaning noises)
- Insert all screws loose to avoid twisting
- Tighten down all screws to specified torque
Tightening torque 52 10 1AZ .
