REP-TAT-P-5210-02 Installing the M cover in the rear seat backrest

• Secure the cable (1) with a suitable clamp (2) so that the cable (1) cannot slide into the seat.
• Strip the insulation of the cable (1) on a length of approx. 15 mm with a special tool 2 221 122  .

• Strip approx. 5 mm of the insulation of the wire (1).
• Crimp the stops with pliers 0 496 833 (61 4 340)  , matrix 0 494 162 (61 4 324)  .

• Pin the wires yellow and brown (1) in such a way in the connector (2) that the cable colors match after closing the plug connection.

• Close the connectors (2) and (3).

• Wrap the plug connection (1) with two layers of insulating tape in the area indicated by the arrows to avoid any noise.

• While installing the M cover (1) thread the cable (2) into the seat.

The cable (2) must go into the seat as shown without any kinks.

• Position the M cover (1) as shown.

Check 

• The cable (2) must go straight in and without any kinks into the seat as shown.

Result 

» The cable (2) is bent.

Measure 

• Pull the M cover (1) out and reinstall it.
• Allow the M cover (1) to engage in places marked with an arrow.
