Removing and installing/replacing support for rear bumper panel (M4 Coupe, M4 Convertible)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove BUMPER PANEL .

Depending on version: 

Unscrew screws (1).

Unlock and disconnect plug connection on Smart Opener control unit and bumper aerial

Loosen the latch mechanisms (2) at reinforcement (3).

Remove reinforcement (3).

Installation note: 

Catches (2) must not be damaged or missing.

If necessary, feed out cable.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Tightening torque 51 12 1AZ .

Remove support (2).
