Reworking of front end M4 GTS (M4 Coupe, M4 Convertible)
Front ornamental grille:
Saw out aperture A at the top and aperture B at the bottom in the center of the ornamental grille.
X= 16 mm
Y = 5 mm
Z = 12 mm
Front support:
Mark hole (1) in the center and as per dimension A to the lower edge of the support.
Drill a hole (1) of 0 9 mm on support.
Insert blind rivet nut (2) (part number 07 14 6 989 330).
ECE impact absorber:
Cut out aperture in the center of the impact absorber as per dimension A and B.
Width A = 34 mm
Depth B = 7 mm
US impact absorber
Cut out aperture in the center of the impact absorber as per dimension A, B and C.
Width A =34 mm
Height B = 32 mm
Depth C = 7 mm
Bumper panel:
Place front splitter (1) on the bumper panel and secure on the left and right using screw (2).
Mark attachment point in area (3) on the left and right on the bumper panel.
Drill out mark (1) with 0 7.2 mm.
Mark hole (2) for the clip on the bumper panel (11x16 mm).
The dimensions can also be taken from clip (3).
Mill out hole (2).
Insert a clip in the new hole (2).
Front underbody protection:
Cut out aperture in the center of the underbody protection as per dimension A and B.
Cut out apertures at the sides of the underbody protection as per dimension C, D and E.
A = 26 mm
B = 16 mm
C= 14 mm
D = 20 mm
E = 14 mm
Front air duct:
Cut out apertures at the top and bottom and in the center of the air duct as per dimension A to D.
A= 16 mm
B = 16 mm
C = 43 mm
D = 20 mm
Front splitter holder:
Align holder (1) as far as possible to the top and parallel to deformation element (2) and secure with screw (3).
Mark holes (4) on the cross-member.
Disassemble holder (1).
Drill out holes (4) with 0 5 mm.
Position holder (1) and align.
Fasten holder (1) with rivets (2).
Tighten down screws (3) and (4).
Tightening torque 51 11 5AZ .
