Removing and installing/replacing inner window cavity cover strip for door window, rear left or right (M4 Convertible)
IMPORTANT:
The instructions on INSTALLATION OF WINDOW GUIDES serve as the basis for this repair instructions and must be observed without fail.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Release rear SIDE TRIM PANEL UPPER SECTION and place to one side.
NOTE:
Prior to removing the weather strip, pay attention to the exact installation position with respect to the adjoining components.
IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage!
If reusing the existing window cavity cover strip (3), make sure it is not bent.
Pull off weather strip (1) towards top, starting from the front.
Installation note:
Moisten weather strip (1) prior to fitting with APPROVED LUBRICANT .
Ensure weather strip (1) is fitted correctly.
Installation note:
Latch mechanisms (1) must not be damaged.
