Removing and installing (replacing) bottom sensor line for the contactless tailgate opening
CAUTION:
Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove REAR BUMPER PANEL TRIM .
Removal:
CAUTION:
Risk of damage; do not kink sensor line (3).
Unlock connector (1) from control unit and disconnect.
Thread out relevant connecting line in area (2).
Release sensor line (3) from brackets and thread out.
Installation:
CAUTION:
Risk of damage; do not kink sensor line (3).
Thread sensor line (3) into brackets.
Thread relevant connecting line in area (2).
Connect connector (1) to control unit.
Installation note:
Make sure sensor line (3) is fitted correctly.
Brackets must not be missing or damaged.
Make sure connecting line (2) is routed correctly.
Required follow-up work:
- Fit REAR BUMPER PANEL TRIM .
