Install the right door lock
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2023 BMW X2, 2022 BMW X2, 2021 BMW X2, 2020 BMW X2, and 2019 BMW X2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Attach the Bowden cable nipple (2).
- Attach the Bowden cable (1).NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Guide the door lock into the door.
Make sure the seal from the door lock is not damaged during installation.
- Screw in screws (2) and (3) a few turns.
- First tighten the screws (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Door lock to door screw Tightening torque 8.8 Nm - Then tighten the screw (3).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Door lock to door screw Tightening torque 8.8 Nm - Clip in locking rod (1).
- Connect and lock the connector (1) on the door lock.
Fasten the wiring harness (2) on the door lock.
