NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Check

Check the gap dimensions between the rear door and adjacent body components.

Result

» Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.

Measure
Adjust door
Open the rear door.
Slacken screws (1) until the door can be moved.
Adjust height of door (Z).
Adjust door width (Y).

Tighten the screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Rear door to door hinge
Screw
	tightening torque	40 Nm

Precondition

The screws on lock striker are loosened so far that the lock striker can still be shifted.

Adjust the height of the lock striker so that the door lock does not bump or drag,
Move lock striker sideways in order to adjust the gap dimensions between door and rear quarter panel.

Tighten down screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
