Remove A-Pillar Reinforcement

- Mark and carry out the separating cut (1)
as per dimension a. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension a = 260 mm from the corner of the roof frame.
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Release the outer section of the A-pillar from the cavity sealing (2).
- Mark and carry out the separating cut (1)
as per dimension a. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension a = 115 mm from hole Ω 20 mm.

- Release the A-pillar outer skin from the cavity sealing (3) and remove.
- Mark and carry out the separating cut (1)
as per dimension a. While doing so, do not damage the water drain hose of the slide/tilt sunroof. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension a = 50 mm from the separating cut on the A-pillar outer skin.
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Release the spot-welded adhesive joints in area (2).
- Release the A-pillar from the cavity sealing (3)
.
- Mark rough separating cuts (1)
as shown and carry out. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Remove sheet sections.
- Release welded connections in areas (2).
- Open spot-welded adhesive joints in area (3) and remove A-pillar reinforcement.
- Open welded connections in areas (1)
and remove the hinge reinforcement (2).
