Prepare New Parts

- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Release welded connections in areas (1).
- Mark and make the separating cut (1) according to the separating cut on the vehicle.
- Cut through both panels in area (2). In the area (2) the width of the separating cut must be approximately 5 mm, so that both panels can be welded to the body.
- Mark and carry out separating cut (3) according to the separating cut on the vehicle + approx. 5 mm material allowance. (4) = Separating cut on the vehicle.
- Remove the cut panel section (5).
- Adjust new parts to fit with alignment bracket or universal mounting.
- Prepare for joining by welding in areas (1)
and (2).
- Prepare for joining by welding in areas (1).
- Prepare areas (1)
to (3) for joining by welding. Prepare areas (2)
and 3 so that all three panels can be welded to each other.
- Prepare for joining by welding in the areas (1)
to (4).
- Prepare the new parts in the areas (1)
for joining by welding.
- Install new part and prepare for joining by welding in areas (1)
and (2).
(3) = position of the cavity sealing.
Replacing the coarse thread bolt and threaded weld bolts (steel surface)
NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details. - Renew the coarse thread bolt (1)
and the threaded weld bolt (2).
Parts: Coarse thread bolt, threaded weld bolt
Take the number and position from the component to be replaced or the add-ons.
- Weld the coarse thread bolt (1)
and threaded weld bolt (2)
onto the new part.
Check ground pins and replace if necessary
