Install New Parts

Install the left side member

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Use only approved spot welder for repair.

Install and secure the new parts with an alignment bracket or a universal fixture.
Weld the separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2).

Installing the left luggage compartment floor

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
When installing the new part, make sure that all bonding surfaces have sufficient adhesive.
Pre-clean bonding surfaces on vehicle and on new part with cleaning agent R2.

Clean bonding surfaces on vehicle and on new part with cleaning agent R1.

Apply adhesive K5 to the bonding surfaces.
ADHESIVE DESCRIPTION

Body adhesive K5 50 ml 83192158654
Install new part.
Rivet the new part in the areas (1) and (2) with blind rivets N3.

Ω 4 mm; clamping area 1-3 mm 83190301421

Installing the EMC screw
Drill a hole with a diameter of 4.2 mm.
In the case of glued connections, only drill the hole after the adhesive has fully hardened.
Screw in the EMC screw.

Seal the EMC screw with the sealant.

Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310ml 83422409985
After hardening of the adhesive in areas (1) and (2), fit 3 EMC screws.
