Removing and installing/replacing top left wishbone (FWD) (X2 sDrive 28i 2018-2023)

NOTE:
If the top wishbone is detached from the rear axle support, wheel alignment. Refer to KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE
must be carried out after installation.
Necessary preliminary work:
- Refer to REMOVING LEFT REAR WHEEL .
- Refer to REMOVING EXHAUST SYSTEM .
Removal:
Remove heat shield (1).
Remove cable (2) from holder (1).
Release nut and remove screw (1).
Release nut and remove screw (2).
Remove wishbone (3).
Installation note:
Tighten screw connection (1) and (2) in NORMAL POSITION .
Installation:
Align wishbone (3).
Replace screw and nut.
Insert bolt (1) and screw on nut.
- Do not yet tighten to specified torque
Replace screw (2) and nut.
Insert bolt (2) and screw on nut.
- Do not yet tighten to specified torque
Move vehicle into NORMAL POSITION .
Tighten nut of bolt (1) and (2) in normal position.
Tightening torque 33 32 3AZ .
Tightening torque 33 32 1AZ .
Parts: Screws and nuts
Secure cable (2) on wishbone.
Mount heat shield (1).
Required follow-up work:
- Refer to INSTALLING EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- Refer to MOUNT LEFT REAR WHEEL .
- Perform wheel alignment. Refer to KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE .
