Remove side airbag from front seat

- Release cable tie (1) .
- Carefully unlock the detents (markings).NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Different variants maybe installed depending on the vehicle equipment. - Thread the matching connector plugs (2) in the direction of the arrow out of the connector plug housings (3) .
- Unclip the seat cover (1) with the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327) .
- Unclip the cable and cable holders (2)

- Using the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327)
, unclip the backrest cover (1)
in the marked area.
- Open the zips (1)
in the marked area.
- Using the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327)
, unclip the backrest cover (1)
in the marked area.
- Loosen nuts (1) .
- Fold the backrest cover with the cushion (2)
to the side.
- Carefully fold out the side airbag (1) from the cushion (2) .
- Carefully guide out the side airbag (1)
from the pocket in the cover (3)

Ensure that the stud bolts (markings) do not damage the pocket in the cover.
- Guide out the side airbag (1)
from the cushion (2)
and set aside.
