Installing the side airbag on the front seat (electric seat)

- Guide side airbag (1) into cushion (2) .

carefully into the pocket in cover (3)

Ensure that the stud bolts (marks) do not damage the pocket in the cover.
- Correctly position the side airbag (1)
in the cushion (2)

- Correctly position the backrest covering with the cushion (2) .
- Replace nuts (1)

- Tighten nuts (1)

Side airbag to backrest frame Nut Replace nuts. tightening torque 6.5 Nm - Correctly position the backrest covering (1)
within the marked area and clip it into place.
- Using the special tool 0 490 472 (00 5 020)
, close the zippers (1)
in the marked area.
- Correctly position the backrest covering (1)
within the marked area and clip it into place.
- Clip in the cable and cable holders (2) .
- Clip in the seat cover (1)

Different variants may be installed depending on the vehicle equipment. - Guide the associated connectors (1) into the connector housing (2) and clip them in.
- Fasten the cable (3)
on the connector housing (2)
using a cable tie.
