Installing side airbag in front seat

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- Feed the side airbag (1)
into the upholstery pocket (2)
upwards.
- Fold backrest cover (2) to one side.
- Replace nuts.

- Tighten nuts (1)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Side airbag to seat frame Hexagon nut Replace nut . 6.5 Nm - Attach seat cover (1)
in area (2)
on backrest frame.
- Attach seat cover (2) in area (3) on backrest frame.
- Only in F44 and F39
- Close the zipper (1)

Different variants may be installed depending on the vehicle equipment. - Feed connector (1) into connector housing (2),
- Make sure the connector (1) engages correctly in the connector housing (2),
- Secure cable with cable tie (3)
on connector housing (2)
