12 14 521 Replacing crankshaft pulse generator (N63)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Read out the fault memory of the DME control unit.
• Switch off ignition.
• Remove rear underbody protection. See 51 47 491 REMOVING REFITTING/REPLACING REAR ENGINE UNDERCOVER .

Installation location: 

On transmission housing at bottom right.

Release connector (1) and remove.

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque 13 62 4AZ .

Withdraw pulse generator (3) from transmission housing.

Installation note: 

Delete fault memory.
