Remove the radial shaft seal of the input flange (ATC 13-1)

Preliminary work

Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
Remove the transmission side UNDERBODY PLANKING
Remove the tunnel connecting SUPPORT .
If installed: remove the right and left TORSION STRUT where required.
Remove the HEAT SHIELDS .
Remove transmission CROSS-MEMBER .
Remove the RETAINING PLATES
Partially loosen the PROP SHAFT
Remove the TRANSFER BOX (ATC 13-1).

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Do not use a drill.
Shavings can damage the transmission and result in failure of the transmission.

Drive a hole into the radial shaft sealing ring (1) using a center punch.
Screw special tool 0 491 454 (23 0 490) into the radial shaft seal (1).
