Install the centrifugal disc on the transfer box (VTG) (ATC 13-1)
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 26 other vehicles, including the 2023 BMW M550i xDrive, 2023 BMW 540i xDrive, 2023 BMW 530i xDrive, 2023 BMW 530e xDrive, and 2022 BMW M550i xDrive. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- In the equipment specification with the installed bellows (up to 11/2016):
- Replace the two-piece centrifugal disc.

- Position the centrifugal disc (1) in such a way that the guide edge lies in the groove (2)!
- Position the hose clamp (1).
- Replace the hose clamp (1).

- Close the hose clamp (1) with the special tool 2 0 494 152 (32 1 260) and tighten it respectively.
- Note installation position.
- Rotate the flange by 360° and check if the hose clamp and the centrifugal disc fits correctly!TECHNICAL DATA - GAP DIMENSION SPECIFICATION
Ear hose clamp gap dimension
Dimension [A]max. 1 mm - For equipment specification with centrifugal disc (starting 11/2016):
- Replace protective cap (1).
Parts: prot. cap
- Carefully tap the protective cap (1) with the special tool onto the transfer box 0 494 641 (27 1 380).
- Replace centrifugal blade (1).

- Carefully tap the centrifugal disc (1) with a plastic hammer onto the transfer box (2).
Follow-up work
- Install the TRANSFER BOX (ATC 13-1).
- Fasten the PROP SHAFT (partially removed)
- Install the RETAINING PLATES .
- Install the HEAT SHIELDS .
- Install transmission CROSS MEMBER .
- Install the complete EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- If installed: install the right and left TORSION STRUT where required.
- Install the tunnel connecting SUPPORTS .
- Install the transmission side UNDERBODY PLANKING .
- Install rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Reconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
