Removing and installing or replacing heat management module (B46/B48 4-Cyl. Engine) (4' Series Coupe/Convertible, 4' Series Gran Coupe Sedan)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove ACOUSTIC COVER AT FRONT .
• Drain COOLANT .

Removal: 

Vehicles with manual gearbox: 

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Unlock and pull off coolant hoses (2 and 3).

Vehicles with automatic transmission/hot country variant: 

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Unlock and detach coolant hoses (2 to 4).

Undo bolts in sequence (6 to 1).

Remove heat management module (1).

Installation: 

Clean sealing faces (1 and 2).

Parts:  Replace profile seal (1) and O-ring (2).

Vehicles with manual gearbox: 

Replacement:  Remount retainer (3).

Position heat management module (1).

Tighten down bolts in sequence (1 to 6).

Tightening torque 11 53 3AZ .

Vehicles with manual gearbox: 

Lock coolant hoses (2 and 3) and connect to the heat management module.

Connect the connector (1).

Vehicles with automatic transmission/hot country variant: 

Lock coolant hoses (2 to 4) and insert on the heat management module.

Connect the connector (1).

Required reworking: 

• Add COOLANT .
• Install ACOUSTIC COVER AT FRONT .
