Remove and install/replace electric coolant pump for charge air/capacitor (B46/B48 4-Cyl. Engine) (4' Series Coupe/Convertible, 4' Series Gran Coupe Sedan)

Recycling! 

Coolant emerges when coolant lines are detached. Have a suitable collecting vessel ready.

Catch and dispose of emerging coolant.

Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Drain LOW-TEMPERATURE COOLANT CIRCUIT .
• Remove COOLANT EXPANSION TANK .

Removal: 

Unlock and disconnect coolant hoses (1) and (2).

Unlock connector (1) and remove.

Slacken nut (2).

Open holder (1).

Remove electric coolant pump (2) to the rear top.

Installation: 

Position electric coolant pump (2).

Close holder (1).

Tighten nut (2).

Tightening torque 11 51 3AZ .

Connect the connector (1).

Lock and connect coolant hoses (1) and (2).

Required follow-up work: 

• Top up LOW-TEMPERATURE COOLANT CIRCUIT .
• Install COOLANT EXPANSION TANK .
