Removing and installing/replacing servomotor for eccentric shaft (B46/B48 4-Cyl. Engine) (4' Series Coupe/Convertible, 4' Series Gran Coupe Sedan)
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove AIR INTAKE PLENUM .
Removal:
Unlock and disconnect connector (1).
Release screws (1).
Slacken of intermediate shafts:
Turn servomotor (1) using reversible ratchet (2) and 4 mm hexagon socket wrench in direction of arrow to left.
Remove actuator drive.
Installation:
Installation note:
When installing the servomotor for the eccentric shaft, it is essential to apply a thin and even coat of Longtime PD-1 lubricating grease to the gearing (refer to item 4.1 in OVERVIEW OF CONSUMABLES ).
Detach and replace gasket (1) in direction of arrow.
Grease gearing (1) of the servomotor for eccentric shaft (2) in the marked area .
Parts: Lubricating grease
Insert controller drive (1) as far as the gearing.
Screw in controller drive (1) using reversible ratchet (2) and 4 mm hexagon socket wrench in direction of arrow up to limit position.
Tighten screws (1).
Tightening torque: 11 37 2AZ .
Connect the connector (1).
Required follow-up work:
- Install INTAKE PLENUM .
Diagnosis path: Service functions -> Drivetrain -> Engine electronics -> Adjustment functions -> Teach in Valvetronic limit positions.
