Adjusting rear roof shell (4' Series Convertible)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- SOFT TOP COMPARTMENT LIDmust be correctly adjusted
Open soft top until screws are accessible.
IMPORTANT:
Lock barrel screws with a flat wrench without fail.
Barrel screws on roof shell must not self-adjust.
Barrel screws on roof shell must not self-adjust.
Slacken left and right screws (1) (do not unscrew completely).
Close soft top.
Carefully press roof shell onto soft top compartment lid.
- Press down roof shell until:
- a uniform gap dimension and
- lower edge parallel to soft top cover is achieved over the entire length.
Hold roof shell in position while screwing down.
NOTE:
Carry out the procedure on the left and right sides in succession.
Carefully pull roofliner downwards.
Tighten the screws (1) on the left and right.
Tightening torque 54 37 06AZ .
Open soft top until screw (1) is accessible.
Tighten the screws (1) on the left and right.
Tightening torque 54 37 06AZ .
Check BODY GAP DIMENSION for soft top.
Carry out leak test.
