Removing and installing/replacing door window glass, front left or right (4' Series Coupe/Convertible)

Special tools required: 

• 2 360 051 

Carry out work on the power window regulator only when the power window motor is de-energized.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove SOUND INSULATION IN FRONT DOOR .
• Remove OUTER WEATHER STRIP .

Slacken multipoint head cap screws (1) on ring gear with special tool 2 360 051  .

Tightening torque 51 33 3AZ .

Open door window glass (1) until multipoint head cap screws (2) are accessible.

Disconnect plug connection (3) at power window motor (pinch hazard).

Release multipoint head cap screws (2) (turn to the right).

Raise holder (1) at tab (2) and remove door window glass (3) in upward direction.

Installation note: 

Make sure door window glass (1) is correctly seated on holder (2) and window guide (3).

Adjust DOOR WINDOW GLASS  (coupe) or DOOR WINDOW GLASS  (convertible).

Carry out function check on power window regulator and anti-trap mechanism.

If necessary, NORMALIZE power window regulator.
