Removing and installing/replacing airbag control unit (4' Series Coupe/Convertible, 4' Series Gran Coupe Sedan)

Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.
IMPORTANT:
Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION
).
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect BATTERY EARTH LEAD .
- REMOVE TRIM PANEL FOR PEDAL MECHANISM .
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 65 77 1AZ .
Unlock plug connections (2) and disconnect.
Pull airbag control unit (3) out of holder in direction of arrow.
Replacement:
Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
