REP-TAT-P-1137-01 Remove torsion springs

Spring preload.
Injury hazard!
- The use of the specified special tool (tool) is mandatory.
- The described operation must be carried out properly.
Wear safety goggles.
The description is for one component only. The procedure is identical for all further components.
- Get the set of special tools 2 359 088 ready.

- Open the special tool 2 359 088 and position it at the torsion spring 1 .
- Ensure that the special tool 2 359 088 lies flat in the area 1 on the cylinder head.
- Carefully close the clamping lever of the special tool 2 359 088 until the safety catch 2 engages.
Check
- Check if the special tool 2 359 088 is positioned correctly on the torsion spring.
Result
Special tool 2 359 088 is not positioned correctly on the torsion spring.
Measure
- Carefully release the clamping lever of the special tool 2 359 088 and repeat the process.
- Clamp the mount 1 of the special tool 2 359 088 in the vice 2 .
- Position the clamping lever 3 of the special tool 2 359 088 with the pre-tensioned torsion spring 5 in the direction of the arrow in the mount 1 of the special tool 2 359 088 .
- Carefully unlock the snap-in hooks 4
of the special tool 2 359 088
.
The torsion spring 5 relaxes.
- Slowly open the clamping lever 3 and remove the torsion spring 5 .
- Place torsion spring5 neatly in special tool 0 495 105 (11 4 480) .
- Repeat the steps for the remaining torsion springs.
