11 74 560 Replace electric changeover valve for vacuum control coolant pump (B48B)

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove INTAKE PLENUM

Removal:

Unlock connector (1) and pull off.

NOTE: A green O-ring is installed between the electric changeover valve (4) and the red vacuum hose (2).
O-ring must not be missing!

Pull off vacuum hoses (2 and 3) from the electric changeover valve (4).

Unlock latch mechanism in marked area.

Pull off electric changeover valve (4).

Installation:

Connect electric changeover valve (4).

NOTE: The latch mechanism in the marked area must engage audibly.

NOTE: A green O-ring is installed between the electric changeover valve (4) and the red vacuum hose (2).
O-ring must not be missing!

2 = red vacuum hose
3 = black vacuum hose

Connect the connector (1).

Connect vacuum hoses (2 and 3) with the electric changeover valve (4).

Required follow-up work:

Install INTAKE PLENUM
