11 37 020 Removing and installing/replacing servomotor for eccentric shaft (B48B)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove INTAKE PLENUM

Removal:

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Release screws (1).

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage to intermediate shaft.

Slacken of intermediate shafts:

Turn servomotor (1) using reversible ratchet (2) and 4 mm hexagon socket wrench in direction of arrow to left.

NOTE: Do not excessively rotate the shaft, at maximum to the end stop.

Remove actuator drive.

Installation:

Detach and replace gasket (1) in direction of arrow.

NOTE: Press-in gasket (1) up to limit position on housing.

Insert controller drive (1) as far as the gearing.

Screw in controller drive (1) using reversible ratchet (2) and 4 mm hexagon socket wrench in direction of arrow up to limit position.

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque: 11 37 2AZ .

Connect the connector (1).

Required follow-up work:

Install INTAKE PLENUM
Check function of Digital Engine Electronics.
