11 22 000 Removing and installing/replacing flywheel (B48B)

Special tools required: 

• 11 9 811 
• 11 9 265 
• 11 4 180 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove GEARBOX 

Vehicle with manual gearbox: 

• Remove CLUTCH

REMOVAL: 

Manual gearbox. 

Secure flywheel with Torx screw (1) and special tools 11 9 811  and 11 9 265  .

Release flywheel studs with special tool 11 4 180  /

Automatic transmission. 

Secure flywheel with transmission bolt (1) and special tool 11 9 811  /11 9 265  .

Unfasten flywheel bolts.

INSTALLATION: 

Manual gearbox. 

Parts:  Replace screws.

Secure flywheel with Torx screw (1) and special tools 11 9 811  and 11 9 265  .

Tighten flywheel bolts with special tool 11 4 180  .

Tightening torque: 11 22 1AZ .

Unfasten flywheel bolts.

Tightening torque: 11 22 1AZ .

• Install CLUTCH .
• Install the TRANSMISSION
