12 51 215 Replacing wiring harness section for Valvetronic servomotor (B48)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Switch off ignition.
Remove the ACOUSTIC COVER .

Removal:

Remove cover (1).

Unlock and release connector (1) along the direction of the arrow from the Digital Motor Electronics-control unit.

Unlock and release connector (2) from the Valvetronic servomotor.

Unlock and release clamp (3).

Unlock holder (4) and release.

Feed out wiring harness section (5) and remove.

Installation:

Feed in and install wiring harness section (5).

Connect and lock connector (1) along the direction of the arrow with the Digital Motor Electronics-control unit.

Connect and lock connector (2) from the Valvetronic servomotor.

All connectors must audibly engage.

Connect holder (4) and lock.

Holder (4) must engage audibly.

Connect clamp (3) and lock.

Clamp (3) must audibly snap into place.

Install cover (1).

Required follow-up work:

Install the ACOUSTIC COVER .
