- When working on the fuel system, make sure that the workbay is sufficiently ventilated, e.g. using extraction unit.
- Tightly seal off open lines and connections; collect any leakage fuel directly at the point of exit.
- No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

- Loosen clamp (1).
- Unclip the cover (2) from the holders in the indicated area towards the top.
- Detach the circlip (1).
- Release lock (1) in direction of arrow.
- Detach the fuel hose (2) from the fuel line (3).
- Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
- Unscrew the adapter from the special tool 0 491 310 (13 5 270) (1).
Check
- Insert special tool 0 491 310 (13 5 270) into disconnected fuel line.
- Screw onto special tool 0 491 310 (13 5 270), the special tool 0 496 623 (11 4 310).
- Screw 0 496 623 (11 4 310) the IMIB 100 bar pressure sensor (1) onto the special tool.
- Connect the IMIB 100 bar pressure sensor (1) to the Integrated Measurement Interface Box (IMIB).
- Establish fuel delivery pressure.
Result
» Read the fuel delivery pressure on the Integrated Measurement Interface Box (IMIB) and compare it with the values in the diagnosis system.
Measure
- Follow the instructions of the diagnosis system.
- After completion of the measurement: Disconnect and remove the special tool 0 491 310 (13 5 270) with the special tool 0 496 623 (11 4 310) and the IMIB 100 bar pressure sensor (1) from the feed line.
- Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
- Connect the fuel hose (2) to the fuel line (3) in the direction of the arrow and lock it.
The lock (1) must audibly engage.
- Fit circlip (1).
- Clip in the cover (2) into the holders in the indicated areas.
The cover (2) must engage audibly.
- Secure the clamp (1).
