21 51 500 Removing and installing or replacing clutch release bearing/lever

NOTE: (gearbox removed)

Do not disassemble clutch operator! Otherwise there is a risk of the clutch operator being incorrectly  reassembled.

NOTE: Release bearing (1) and release lever (2) have been combined to form a clutch operator.
Do not  grease sliding surfaces.

Removal: 

Remove clutch operator (1) from wire spring clip (2) and remove.

Installation: 

Installation note: 

Check wire spring clip (2) and ball pin (1) for damage and replace if necessary.

Apply a thin coating of grease to ball pin (1).

Specified grease: refer to CLUTCH - OPERATING FLUIDS .

Clean guide sleeve (1).

Slide release module (1) onto output shaft and clamp behind wire spring clip (2).

Installation note: 

Do not  grease guide sleeve.

IMPORTANT: If guide sleeve is greased, the release lever can stick on the guide sleeve.
