REP-TAT-P-1242-02 Installing the positive battery cable

Route the positive battery cable (1) and secure it at the clamps (arrows).

Secure the positive battery cable (1) at the clamps (2).

Insert the positive battery cable (1) and connect it to the starter motor.
Bring the anti-twist lock (2) of the positive battery cable (1) on the starter motor up to the limit position (3).

Tighten nut (4).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Battery positive lead to starter
Cap nutM8	Tightening torque	13.5 Nm

Route the positive battery cable (3).
Connect the positive battery cable (3) to the positive battery connection point.

Tighten down screw (2).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Battery positive lead to battery positive terminal
M8	15 Nm

Install the cover (1) and lock it audibly.
Insert the positive battery cable (3) and connect it to the alternator.
Secure the positive battery cable (3) at the clamp (4).

Tighten nut (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Positive battery cable to the alternator
M8	Tightening torque	19 Nm
