11 53 942 Remove and install/replace connecting branch on the engine block (B48B)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove INTAKE PLENUM 
• Drain the HIGH TEMPERATURE COOLANT

Removal: 

Unlock the latch (1) and pull off the coolant hose.

Unclip clamp (1) from the connecting branch.

Unfasten screws (2).

Remove connecting branches.

Installation: 

Parts:  Replace gasket (1).

Replace gasket (1).

Clean sealing surface (1).

Position the connecting branch.

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque 11 53 5AZ .

Clip in clamp (1) to the connecting branch.

Lock the latch (1) and connect to the connecting branch.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install INTAKE PLENUM 
• Fill HIGH TEMPERATURE COOLING SYSTEM
