13 54 030 Removing and installing/sealing throttle body (B48)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with NOTES ON PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) !

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove the ACOUSTIC COVER
Remove the DESIGN COVER .
Remove the CHARGE AIR LINE . (Release only)

Removal:

Release screw (1).

Loosen the screws along the arrows.

Unlock and disconnect plugs (2).

Feed out and remove throttle body (3).

Preparation for installation:

Replace sealing ring (1).

Installation:

Connect connector (2) and lock.

Connector (2) must snap audibly into place.

Guide in throttle valve fitting (3) and install.

Tighten screws along arrows.

Tightening torque, refer to: 13 54 1AZ .

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque, refer to: 13 54 2AZ .

Required follow-up work:

Install the CHARGE AIR LINE .
Install the ACOUSTIC COVER .
Install the DESIGN COVER .
