Replacing one upper wishbone

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life

Observe the SAFETY INFORMATION for working with electric vehicles.

NOTE: If the wishbone is detached from the rear axle support, it is necessary after reinstallation to carry out a Chassis/Wheel Alignment Check. Refer to KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR WHEEL .

Open clamps and remove cable clip (1).

Installation note:

Replace faulty cable clips.

Release screw (1).

Installation note:

Replace screw.

Observe installation sequence at the end of this procedure !

Release nut (1) and remove screw towards front.

Installation note:

Observe installation sequence at the end of this procedure !

Bolt head points in direction of travel.

Replace self-locking nut.

IMPORTANT: Make sure during installation that in the connection area to the wheel carrier the tapered end of the bearing bushing (of the rubber mount) points in the direction of the wheel carrier.

IMPORTANT: You must observe the installation sequence and installation notes!
Failure to comply with these instructions may result in serious damage to the threads of the wheel carrier!
Do not use an impact screwdriver!

Installation sequence:

Put on screw (1) wishbone to wheel carrier manually!
Fit wishbone to rear axle support, insert screw and screw on nut
NOTE: Tighten both screw connections in normal position only!
Tighten wishbone to wheel carrier screw connection Tightening torque 33 32 6AZ .
Tighten wishbone to rear axle support screw connection
Tightening torque 33 32 5AZ .

After installation:

Carry out WHEEL ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE .
