Removing and installing/replacing weather strip on outside of rear door

Special tools required:

IMPORTANT: Weather strip in plastic design cannot be removed without damage.

Observe PROCEDURE for using special tool 00 9 324.

The "INSTRUCTIONS ON FITTING WINDOW GUIDE SEALS " serve as the basis for this repair instruction and must be observed without fail.

IMPORTANT: If reusing the existing window cavity cover strip (1), make sure it is not bent.

Pry out weather strip (1) with special tool 00 9 324 (starting at B-pillar).

In areas that cannot be reached with special tool 00 9 324 , carefully pry out weather strip (1) using special tool 00 9 325.

Installation note:

Moisten weather strip (1) before installation with APPROVED LUBRICANT .

Weather strip (1) must lie flush with the door edge at the front and rear.
