Removing the sound insulation on the rear door
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER ON THE REAR LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR HANDLE .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL ON THE LEFT OR RIGHT .

- Use a suitable, sharp cutting tool (3) to cut through the sealing bead (1) of the sound insulation (2) in the corresponding area.
- Make sure when cutting through the sealing bead (1)
not to damage the sound insulation (2)
and the cables.
- Observe the position of the sealing bead (1).
- Disconnect the plug connection (2) and remove the lines (3) from the sound insulation (4).
