61 31 231 Removing and installing/replacing steering wheel module control unit (except M sports steering wheel) (2' Series coupe and convertible, 2017-2021) (2' Series coupe and convertible, 2017-2021)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

NOTE: Steering wheel cover is shown removed for purposes of clarity.

Remove control unit for steering wheel module (1) from steering wheel (2) in direction of arrow.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove steering wheel electronics control unit (2).

Installation note:

Make sure electronic steering wheel module (2) is fitted correctly.
