51 46 110 Removing and installing/replacing cover of the top cross member (2' Series convertible models)
Necessary preliminary taste:
Removal:
Move soft top into the position shown.
WARNING:
Soft top becomes pressureless without a warning signal.
When carrying out all repair work, secure soft top and soft top compartment lid with a suitable support tool against collapsing.
Ensure soft top is supported in the middle.
Ignition must remain switched off during the repair work.
Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the hydraulic valves incurring preliminary damage.

Release screws (1).
Release screws (1).
Lift out clips (2).
Release expanding rivets (1) on left and right.
Feed out cover (2) towards top.
Installation:
Feed in cover (2).
Mount expanding rivet (1) on left and right.
Tighten down screws (1).
Mount clips (2).
Tighten down screws (1).
