72 11 033 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right seat belt (X6 2015-2019)
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove TRIM PANELS FOR DOOR POST .
Version with end fitting pretensioner only:
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove outer cover. Refer to 52 14 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING OUTER COVER ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT REP-REP-RAF1552-5214040 - V.4 (X6 2015-2019) or 52 17 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING OUTER COVER ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (COMFORT) REP-REP-RAF1552-5217040 - V.5 (X6 2015-2019) .
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque: 72 11 07AZ .
Remove the lock washer.
Pull seat belt strap (2) out of end fitting tensioner.
Move front seat upwards.
Release screw (1) on front seat.
Installation note:
Replace screw.
Tightening torque: 72 11 02AZ .
Feed out belt end fitting (2).
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque: 72 11 04AZ .
Remove slide bar.
Release screw (1).
Installation note:
Replace screw (1).
Remove seat belt guide loop.
Tightening torque: 72 11 05AZ .
Basic seat belt:
Unfasten PLUG CONNECTION (1) and disconnect.
Release screw (2).
Installation note:
Replace screw (2).
Tightening torque: 72 11 01AZ .
Unlock inertia reel unit (3) and remove from B-pillar.
Installation note:
Automatic reel is coded against incorrect installation.
REMA* seat belt/SA5AL Active Protection:
*REMA = reversible electromotive inertia reel
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release screws (2) and (3).
Installation note:
Replace screws (2) and (3).
Tightening torque: 72 11 01AZ .
Remove inertia reel (4) from B-pillar cover.
Disconnect remaining plug connections and remove inertia reel (4).
Installation note:
Automatic reel is coded against incorrect installation.
Installation note:
Free spaces of (A) and (B) from the seat belt strap to the guide funnel must be of the same size.
During replacement with version REMA seat belt/SA5AL Active Protection:
Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
Installation note:
Carry out FUNCTION CHECK .
