65 12 220 Removing and installing/replacing the Head unit (SDARS) (X6 2015-2019)
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove CAR INFORMATION COMPUTER (CIC) .
For equipment specification with head unit:
- Remove headunit. Refer to 65 12 320 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING HEAD UNIT (BASE) REP-REP-RAF0165-6512320 - V.5 (X6 2015-2019) or 65 12 315 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) HU-H) REP-REP-RAF0165-6512315 - V.18 (X6 2015-2019) .
When replacing, please observe:
Note SID number (1) of the removed device.
NOTE:
The SID number (1) can be found on the label of the housing. Location may be different, depending on the equipment manufacturer.
Note SID number (1) of the new device in the same way.
Input the enabling code (obtainable via BMW) .
Replacement:
Carry out PROGRAMMING/CODING .
NOTE:
Please contact Sirius. Use the SID number to cancel current device and register new one.
