61 31 342 Removing and installing/replacing the gear selector switch (GWS) (X6 2015-2019)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove COVER OF GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 61 31 1AZ .

Installation note: 

Insert gear selector switch (2) correctly in front and rear fixation of center console support (3).

Raise the gear selector switch (2).

Unlock connector (1) on gear selector switch (2) and disconnect.

Replacement: 

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
