61 31 231 Removing and installing/replacing steering wheel module control unit (X6 2015-2019)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove AIRBAG UNIT .

Remove control unit for steering wheel electronics (1) from steering wheel (2) in direction of arrow.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove steering wheel electronics module control unit (2).

Installation note: 

Make sure electronic steering wheel module (2) is fitted correctly.
