51 49 000 Removing and installing/replacing the tailgate trim panel (X6 2015-2019)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove TRIM PANEL FOR REAR WINDOW FRAME ON LEFT/RIGHT 
• Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHTS .

Removal: 

Release trim panels (1) from clips (2).

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Remove trim panel (1).

Installation: 

If necessary, lift out clips remaining in body and pre-install on trim panel.

Check clips and replace faulty clips.

Install trim panel (1).

Connect associated plug connections and lock.

Engage trim panels (1) to clips (2).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install TRIM PANEL FOR REAR WINDOW FRAME  on left/right
• Install LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT .
